The Academy at the ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ is a comprehensive program for students who are ready to advance their skills, further their love of music and connect with like-minded peers. The Academy provides a holistic classical music education in a creative and collaborative environment for pre-kindergarten through high school students whose unique talents, perspectives and love for music are nurtured and supported by exceptional instruction within an encouraging community.

Every student who loves music and is eager to work hard at their musical craft can thrive in the Academy. Participation in this highly focused program, centered around Saturday classes, rehearsals, and performances, will set the stage for future success in any field of study.

Fall 2025 Academy Shadow Days and Open House at the ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ 

 &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

FOR STUDENTS GRADES 4-12: 

Academy Shadow Days 

October 25  •  November 15 

 

Any student grades 4-12 can come and find out what it’s like to be an Academy student for a day!  You will be paired with a current Academy student of similar age and instrument type, and shadow them throughout the day as they attend their regular classes, rehearsals, and performances (private lessons excluded).  Come experience being a part of our family!  &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

  • Open to all students grades 4 through 12.
  • Your schedule for the day will depend on the schedule of the student you are shadowing, but you can expect to spend three or four hours at CIM.   
  • Optional informational sessions will be held during the day for families of shadowing students.

FOR STUDENTS GRADES PreK-5: 

Lower Academy Open House 

November 15, 10:00am-1:00pm 

 

For younger students, we will hold an Open House on Saturday, November 15th.  Families of all students grades Pre-K through 5 are invited to come and learn about our program!  See the ensembles, the classes, and meet our first-class teachers and students.  Find out how to join our community!

  • Comprehensive, multi-level curriculum includes private lessons, ensemble training, performance opportunities, musicianship classes, and more.
  • Community meets every Saturday at CIM for classes, performance hour, and lessons/rehearsals as scheduled. 
  • Students benefit from instruction and mentorship from CIM’s Preparatory and Public Programs faculty and guest artists. 
  • College and conservatory application and audition advising available. 
  • Black and Latinx students are eligible for the Musical Pathway Fellowship to attend the Academy with significant scholarship.
